Why are feet so valuable to a photographer? Well to answer that simply they’re valuable because they can give you a better angle. Feet are especially valuable if you’re using a prime/fixed lens because you can’t zoom in or out. Then you have to basically use your feet to get closer or further from your subject to get the shot you want. Then if you want to get a different perspective of something, like looking up, then you have to squat down and stabilize yourself with your feet. Your feet also play a big part in stabilization especially if you’re using a really zoomed in lens because it’s going to be extremely sensitive when you move. Then in order to get a better stabilization you need to spread your feet and balance yourself.
