I found this assignment to be fairly straightforward, and I actually really like the pictures I took using shallow depth of field and bokeh. I think these concepts are really cool and fun to work with, especially when you understand how to use them to get different effects. I didn’t even realize I got a picture with bokeh until after I reviewed them, which helped with my understanding of bokeh. Trying to get a picture that shows a deep depth of field is the only place where I kind of had a hard time. As you can see in the photo, the light is really off and it looks white where the sky should be. I think the problem I had was that I needed to adjust the aperture to a slightly lower f-number than the one I had so that the lens opening could be bigger. It’s not the best picture I’ve ever taken, but I think it at least shows the basic concept of it. Overall I really liked this assignment and I’m excited to do future ones featuring these concepts.
