Faceless Portraits

Objective: The objective of “Faceless Portraits” is to take a picture of your model, but have their face be covered. Or you can have a part of their face covered. For example, this can be by having something on the model’s head, covering it with an item, or using editing software.

Assignment Details: Capture one photo of your models having their faces hidden.

Exploration:

Go out and find your model and have a theme in mind. This theme will be what you will have the models face covered with. Try to be creative with the way the face is covered.

Photography:

Whatever way you want to take the portrait it’s your choice. Take it from whatever angle you want and use any type of coloring you want.

Editing and Composition:

The only editing that you will need is just to adjust your light, shadows, color, and the overall effect of the photo. Last is if you are going to edit your models to be faceless.

Submission:

You will have two weeks to complete this assignment with a description of what you used to cover your model’s face. Name your photo as facelees_firstname_year

Tools Needed:

Any camera of your choice and editing software such as (Photoshop, Adobe Express, Lightroom, etc.)

Safety: Have fun.

Mindfulness: Watch where you are taking your photos and mind people’s business.

Final Notes:

With this assignment, you can learn to be creative with the way to make someone unknown. Showing the way you incorporated your theme into the portrait.
