My photography journey:
The beginning:
When I first started I thought photography would be easy but it was much harder than I imagined it to be. There was so much to learn that I had never thought of before. After taking pictures this whole semester and looking back at them I can see the growth I made not only skills-wise but as a person as well.
Focusing on subjects:
In the process of the Fall Photo Challenge I learned how to focus better on the subjects of my image. After the challenge was complete I took into account how what I was photographing appeared in the image which helped me grow as a photographer and better incorporate my subject into the photos I took.
Changed view:
Taking photography really changed how I viewed the environment around me. Before taking this class I would walk by the many wonders of nature wether it be the trees or the flowers but now as I walk by I see the beauty in it and how it can be an amazing photo to keep forever.
My favorite work:
The picture that means the most to me is one of my Dollar Store project pictures. I have these dice nicely stacked with the background just slightly blurred. I find this picture the most interesting of all the photos I have taken and am excited to take more photos that bring the same excitement for me.
Moving forward:
So far photography has shown me that there is more to life to pay attention to just like the nature that is around us. I have come a long way from where I first began and I am excited to keep learning and taking new photos no matter how good or bad they may be I still enjoy this process of learning photography.
