Cowhide Week Assignment
Theme: Spooky Nostalgia
When picking out photos for this assignment I had picked out these four before editing them soley based on how eerie they were initially.
Spooky Tunnel: This photo had been photographed November 22, 2023. This photo was a bridge over this river which turned into a waterfall. Which you can see the waterfall in my gallery "Out & About, The Beauty Around Us" photo 26. The thing that makes this spooky is the underbridge it just gives an eerie vibe.
Dark Skies: This photo had been taken April 11, 2022. Looking back at this photo it gives me an eerie nostalgia that a thunderstorm or rain is coming in.
Pumpkin Sunflowers: This photo was taken October 8, 2022. This photo leans more towards nostalgia rather than spooky. But the vibrancy of the sunflowers is a nice touch that almost seems unnatural.
Mini Maze: This photo was taken October 8, 2022. The Mini Maze photo is just an eerie photo. As it seems like something can pop out from the corners. Which that is what makes it creepier.

Focusing For Effect
Shooting an Off-Center Subject
When Shooting an Off-Center Subject it usually is more pleasing than a subject in the center. In this photo I had been taking photos in our class outing. Taking a photo of Mckenzie Escovedo off-center.
Shooting A Moving Subject
Shooting A Moving Subject, is both a hard yet fun experience as it helps you learn what works and what doesn't since it is different than taking a still photo.
Lock Focus
Locking Focus on your Subject on your Camera can help recompose your photo if needed. It helps composition and how it will work with your subject.
Focusing on Close-Ups
When shooting up close and person to people or things the type of lens you use can control how that photo can possibly look. As a 50mm lens you have to get very close to your subject, while a longer lens such as a 200mm you can be far away yet take photos close up.
Focusing on The Eyes
When looking at someone one of the first things we look at is their eyes. A common phrase most have heard is that "The Eyes are the Window to the Soul". As well as that it is something important for a photo.
