About Me

Hi, I’m Nick, the photography teacher here at RHS. I’ve been taking pictures since junior high, and my passion has grown into teaching and sharing what I’ve learned with my students. I enjoy capturing sports and student life around our campus—it’s rewarding to document those moments that show the spirit of RHS. Through my work and my classes, I aim to help students see their world from new perspectives and tell their own stories through photography. Thanks for checking out our work!

My Most Recent Project

Hands

This project highlights how hands can tell a story all on their own. Each photo captures hands doing something meaningful, like creating, helping, or connecting. By focusing on just the hands, these images show small, everyday actions that say a lot.

Spooky

These photos show Halloween moments, capturing costumes and expressions that bring out the spirit of the season. From a little zombie to two witches, each image gives a glimpse into Halloween fun.

Dollar Store Project

For this project, I photographed my dollar store item in various spots around my classroom.

Focus Modes

M Mode

This pic was shot on full manual mode.  The camera kept focusing on the net and I wanted to capture the goalie, so I took over.

AF-S Mode

This picture was shot on AF-C Mode.  I locked onto the subject's eye and then moved my camera a bit.

AF-C Mode

This picture was taken in AF-C mode.  It was a low light situation with lots of challenges, so i let the camera do the thinking.
