THE PROCESS

At the start of this documentary project, I was very excited and very passionate to start because I love taking photos of people. My goal was to find a teacher and take their photo and then edit and complete my documentary. I planned this project out on paper first and tried to make the vision that I had in my head come to life. I then decided which photos would work best with I wanted and I tried to take photos when they were talking and engaged in what they were very passionate on

SELF-CRITIQUE

I’m most proud of the photos I took because I feel like I caught him when he was very into what he was talking about. I’m most proud of capturing the photo where it’s in portrait and you can see every detail. I think I should work most on my communication skills and being able to talk loudly and clearly.

OVERCOMING A CHALLENGE

A struggle I found was the lighting sometimes it was dark and gloomy outside which caused the photos to look very dark. To fix this problem I was able to adjust the lighting when editing.

KEY TAKEAWAY

From this project, I have learned that people achieve a lot in their lifetime and that some don’t like to brag about that but they have huge accomplishments that contribute to the things they like to do and the things that they are passionate about.

FAVORITE IMAGE

The image below is my favorite out of the whole project because of the way the composure looks and the lighting and how it’s only the person in focus and everything else is blocked out.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This overall experience was very fun and I loved being able to document someone and take their photos and being able to show appreciation to someone
