This assignment was hard for me in terms of memorizing and understanding how shutter speed works. I kept forgetting what speed the shutter needed to be at to make my subject blurry and the background blurry. I especially had a hard time trying to get the freeze-frame photos because I was trying to find the right speed without the picture being too dark. Eventually, I started to understand it (freezing time = high number and motion blur = low number) and managed to take pictures that I am mildly proud of. What I thought was cool was how I was able to capture the motion blur of the admin driving his golf cart. I think this picture looks really cool and it’s really interesting how cameras can capture the movement of an object within a picture. I also really like the third picture in my freeze-frame collection, where you can see the flag’s movement without it being blurry. I think this looks really cool, especially since the design of the flag is really cool and looks like lightning. I tried to get some panning photos of admins and golf carts, but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful.
