"Everybody has a camera on their phone, why do we need a photography class?"

This is a common question for photographers.  There are cameras everywhere.  And they are really smart and fast and easy to use and they take pretty good pictures.

But, do their users really know how to make great pictures.  Photography is an art and a science and there are many things that go into a good photograph.

In this course, students use Nikon DSLR cameras to practice composition and lighting ideas that make better pictures.

Students will learn post production knowledge about Lightroom and Photoshop.  They will learn to critique images so that they can make better pictures.

They will also learn about web design and WordPress so that they can share their pictures on a site just like this.

Ultimately, young photographers will get to practice being creative in a workshop setting and will make something we all love, great pictures!
