Album Cover designed by Aliya Martinez

This album cover perfectly displays all of the emotions and feelings for all of the songs. The photographer did a great job in understanding what I had envisioned for this album and she also added some elements by herself, which made the cover even better. The cover has pastel, light colors which matches the vibe of the whole album very well. As I said to her, I related this album somehow to water and she included it too. The bridge that is captured on the front cover, kind of reminds me of the pathway to another world, like the fantasy world and that is exactly how these songs feel for me. In a nutshell I am really satisfied and grateful for making this album even better.

Do photographers see the world differently?  https://redwood.photography/2023/02/23/do-photographers-see-the-world-differently-2/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/23/do-photographers-see-the-world-differently-2/#respond Thu, 23 Feb 2023 17:03:20 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=3031 As photographers we have to look at the world with an open eye. We see all the many many possibilities that the world has to offer. When we go outside we see the different unique and dramatic things the environment around us brings. Of course people tend to over look everything but Photographers are always looking for anything that interests us. We also see the character in people and the surroundings we are in. We have the power to make any moment great or however we want others to see what the moments have on the world and the different perspectives we can find.

Designing A Page https://redwood.photography/2023/02/10/designing-a-page/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/10/designing-a-page/#respond Fri, 10 Feb 2023 19:13:57 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2872 Lets make your home garden great, buy some decorations like this gnome to spice up your garden and make your neighbors jealous.

Taken by and Designed by Aliya and Jasmine

When designing a page it can be very difficult because there are many pictures ideas that can come to life, but you only end up picking the best ones. When finally starting to upload and design the page, road block. I came upon having to suggest lots of ideas and with trail and error, there was a final piece. Through designing a page I have learned that you just have to try everything and not limit what you can do. If you have an idea you should try it and make it work or go back to one of the many other options and maybe combine ideas.

Reflections https://redwood.photography/2023/01/27/reflections-2/ https://redwood.photography/2023/01/27/reflections-2/#respond Fri, 27 Jan 2023 21:43:42 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2525 “You know, I really don’t think you learn from teachers. You learn from work. I think what you learn, really, is how to be – you have to be your own toughest critic, and you only learn that from work, from seeing work.”

-Garry Winogrand

Teachers really don’t teach you, if anything they give you a nudge in the direction they think you should go. When you do your work, you find what best fits you and you learn from yourself. If you don’t understand something or don’t know what to do, than you look at examples, and through the example’s you are able to understand and create your own work. When we take a photo of the same topic and we look at others work, we become our biggest critic because we compare what we see to what we have. We learn from seeing other work and from others work’s we are able to self identify what we need to work on and how we can get to that point of advancement. We learn to know what we want and we learn to know how to get to that point. The reason why we become critics is because we are actually interested in what we do and find enjoyment in it.

Look Up-Project https://redwood.photography/2023/01/20/look-up-project/ https://redwood.photography/2023/01/20/look-up-project/#respond Fri, 20 Jan 2023 20:20:11 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2218 Feet are a very valuable tool for photographers because we use this tool every time we go out and take pictures. We are able to adjust the space between us and what we are trying to capture. As a photographer you want to be able to move around and capture any moment that feels right. Being able to move around allows us to capture any picture and at different angles. This allows us to try and capture that one shot that we are looking for.

During the project I was able to move freely which made it easier to get lower shots and higher shots. I was able to move around and capture my pictures at different angles. However, I was limited to the ground level and I couldn’t get deeper shots. The other thing was I had to move around a lot but over all I was able to capture all kinds of angles and shots.

Ideas about Theme-Winter Project https://redwood.photography/2022/12/12/ideas-about-theme-winter-project/ https://redwood.photography/2022/12/12/ideas-about-theme-winter-project/#respond Mon, 12 Dec 2022 22:09:51 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=1896 Having a theme has helped with this project by giving me a starting point, when deciding what pictures to take. It’s a great way in inspiring creativity and change my perspective on pictures surrounding the theme. Themes can allow you to set a decisive direction and help bring a story to the audiences eye.

Having a theme can also make the project challenging because your picture has to surround the theme and also coming up with ideas can be difficult because you have to incorporate the theme. The pictures taken can also become repetitive and become boring because they all have the same theme.
