What I did to represent the gloomy mood was to add a lot of editing. I wanted to follow what my client gave to me to have the main cover focus on the scenario of the window followed by rain. Adding a blue tone made the album turn to the saddest that my client was expecting. But, I also wanted to add a little bit more creativity of my own that I thought my client would like more by adding one of the scenes of the music videos of the album. Also, I took a little bit of creativity in creating the back of the cover by adding black flowers to represent the dark, somber emotions the album gives me while listening to some of the songs. Overall, the client liked how the album came out and was really excited that I took a little bit of creativity in adding one of the member’s scenes.

Do photographers see the world differently?  https://redwood.photography/2023/02/28/do-photographers-see-the-world-differently-4/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/28/do-photographers-see-the-world-differently-4/#respond Tue, 28 Feb 2023 20:26:28 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=3844 I think all photographers see the world differently. Everyone has their own way and type of style of taking pictures. Photographers have many different styles. Some may focus on nature others might concentrate on building structures, cars, animals, food, and people. They have an interesting way of capturing memorable moments. I believe everyone can take pictures of everything and look good. But photographers are able to be in their own way in creating a new perspective that the world wasn’t seen before.

What I learned from designing a page? https://redwood.photography/2023/02/09/what-i-learned-from-designing-a-page-2/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/09/what-i-learned-from-designing-a-page-2/#respond Thu, 09 Feb 2023 18:54:27 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2928 The first thing I learned is how really challenging it is to edit a picture and the second challenging thing I learned doing this project is about how to delete the background image. Overall I think my poster turned on quite well.

Critique #3 https://redwood.photography/2023/01/27/critique-3/ https://redwood.photography/2023/01/27/critique-3/#respond Fri, 27 Jan 2023 19:27:31 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2545 “You know, I really don’t think you learn from teachers. You learn from work. I think what you learn, really, is how to be – you have to be your own toughest critic, and you only learn that from work, from seeing work.”– Garry Winograd

I can agree with Gino Winograd’s quote as he states that we don’t really learn from teachers till we do the work.

This is one of my beginner photos, I knew very little about photography but after working and learning the rules of the lines. I understood the techniques of how to make a good photo.

I learned a lot of the reflection project, I like how the puddle seems out of place like it was edited. But overall I think it turned out to be a very good photo.

THE VALUE OF FEET https://redwood.photography/2023/01/25/the-value-of-feet/ https://redwood.photography/2023/01/25/the-value-of-feet/#respond Wed, 25 Jan 2023 19:18:25 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2607 Why are feet so important to a photographer?

Feet are the key to change a new perspective it requires to actually move physically instead of zooming in and out. It would allow you to take the picture you want by moving around with your feet getting all angles needed to create a better picture.

Photo by Roberto Taddeo; ISO 100, f/2.2, 1/4000-second exposure.

This picture is really cool, I like how it is blurred in the background and the sun is behind her. It adds a nice touch to the tone to be magical and peaceful.
