The image was different from what I expected. However, it still matches the vibes of the album that I suggested and I still like it very much.

How does the image relate to the album? The back cover shows a bright yellow flower and a white background which I think portrays the songs in the album pretty good. The album gives a calm and relaxing kind of vibe and so did the album cover.

What choices did the photographer make for themselves, and how do I feel about them? The photographer made the front cover of the album different from what I had expected, but not in a bad way. It surprised me in a good way because it was different from what I asked for and it still matched the album and the music.

Alphabet Critique https://redwood.photography/2023/03/22/alphabet-critique-2/ https://redwood.photography/2023/03/22/alphabet-critique-2/#respond Wed, 22 Mar 2023 18:04:21 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=4149 Do photographers see the world differently?

The answer is most certainly yes. I’ve seen this in my own life as a photographer. I see the world in shots. Things such as these angles look nice, the coloring is beautiful now, the natural frame is fun. Its something that’s always on my mind, my eyes are a camera. It is amazing and makes the world essentially an art work for me in discover, but it also is a curse. That part of my brain will never shut off. Sometimes I want to see the world and enjoy its beauty without trying to find a way to capture it for later. I also feel as a photographer I see beautiful landscapes and focus too much on trying to save in for the future instead of enjoying it in the present. Though this does not make me regret having the eyes of a photographer. As a photographer I can discover beauty that most people will never see. They do not have the willingness to put down their phone and see the beautiful world they live in. The world is beautiful and photographers have the gift of discovering its art everyday. So yes I do believe photographers see the world differently.

Dollar Store Advert Critique https://redwood.photography/2023/02/08/dollar-store-advert-critique/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/08/dollar-store-advert-critique/#respond Wed, 08 Feb 2023 19:17:57 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2949 In this project I learned the value of lighting. In this project me and Tyler were able to change our background cloth color from a blue to a yellow just with lighting. It gave it a whole different feel and really enhanced the picture. After trial and error we found the perfect lighting. It was challenging to obtain the feeling the picture was supposed to convey. But after color correction and aging the picture captures that emotion.

Reflections Critique https://redwood.photography/2023/02/08/reflections-critique-2/ https://redwood.photography/2023/02/08/reflections-critique-2/#respond Wed, 08 Feb 2023 19:03:16 +0000 https://redwood.photography/?p=2931 The quote suggests that in photography, the learning process comes from practical experience and self-reflection, rather than from being taught by a teacher. My own work is the best teacher and provides the opportunity to critically analyze and improve. The more I use the camera the more I learn the skills and see the art in photography. The idea is that becoming a better photographer requires consistent practice and a commitment to self-critique, which can only be achieved through actively producing and studying one’s own work.

Before camera setting and photoshop editing
After camera setting changes and photoshop. I learned how to make an average picture beautiful.
