I think I did well on the album that I did because after listening to the song I got the vibe of a rainy day but also of something nature. I also looked at the artists past albums and saw that all of his albums were random things and nothing ever really specific so I had to do something different that went with the vibe of the music but also the vibe of the artist. For the cover I chose to do that beautiful white flower because I liked how it was surrounded by so much dark dirt and I thought it would contrast well off of it. I also chose this as the cover because I loved how the green leaves around the flower were so vibrant and that is what gave me the idea that the album theme color should be green. For the back cover I really wanted a picture that showed rain so when I saw my friends phone all well I thought it would be cool to take a picture of the phone with the little droplets of water on it with the actual album reflecting from the phone. I thought this would be a good idea because not only does it fit the vibe but it also contributes something from the actual album. I chose the font of a kind of handwriting because in that actual album there is really sloppy handwriting on it so I wanted to add capture that with the font as well.

I think all photographers do see the world differently because everyone has their own mind and their own way that they like to capture the moment. Some photographers like to capture nature, while others like to capture social events, cars, portraits, animals and even food. I believe when people think of photography they think of pictures that are showing something off that is really pretty or interesting but photos can also be used to bring awareness to things. You can take pictures of anything and it could tell a story. So I think every photographer sees the world differently and has their own way that they want to capture things.

From designing a page I learned how to become a better editor and I got to explore photo shop more and see all the different things that they have to offer and that we could do to a picture. This project became challenging when it came to coming up with the concept and how we wanted our ad to look but YouTube and google gave us inspiration and we were able to move on from that. The next obstacle that we had to face was trying to figure out what to write in our ad, there was so many ways to advertise this product so we had to brainstorm ideas so that we could find the perfect one.

Reflections

Although teachers do a good job trying their best to teach what they can, you don’t truly learn until attempting it yourself. You can always follow someone and what they do but not really understand what you are doing but when you go off on your own and you put the skills that you learned to the test then that’s when you really start to understand what you are doing. The teacher can only teach you so much before letting you go off on your own and use what you’ve learned in the real world so that’s when you truly learn. When taking the photos above my critics helped because of the way i wanted the photo to look and the lighting I had to change my settings a bunch of times before I fully understood how to set my settings if I want a picture to look a certain way

Movement Critique

Feet are a valuable tool for photography because you have to constantly move in order to get the shots that you are looking for and the type of photo you want to achieve. Moving around helped me with this project because I had to move up close to the objects that I was taking pictures of so that the photo had that effect of looking up. If I would have taken the picture from a distance it wouldn’t have looked like an up close picture and it would just look like a regular picture. Some limitations that I faced when taking these pictures were that I couldn’t get too close to the tree or else it would look like a bunch of wood or a leaves and for the water tower I couldn’t get as close as I wanted because of a fence that was surrounding the tower so I couldn’t go get closer.

Ideas about themes

Having a theme helped me with this project because it gave me an exact idea as to what I was looking for. It give me something specific to focus on and so I was able to stick to the theme and take pictures based off of what the theme was. The theme also made the project challenging because when taking pictures and you are trying to stick to the theme it is kind of hard because you don’t want to go away from your theme and confuse the viewers with different pictures.

This picture is so really cool, I like how it is blurred in the background and her face is the only thing fully in focus. I also like how her eyes are focused on the camera, pretty much the way she is posed is really cool because it adds potential to the photo.
