Does the album cover represent a message if so does it match the album?

The Album cover represents a Disco, Sad, and Oldie vibe. I would say it matches the overall vibe of the album.

Is this what you imagine when you think of the album?

Yes, the album perfectly represents the Disco, Sad, and Oldie vibe of Tyler, The Creator’s work with his album IGOR. I also like the roller skates and how fuzzy the cover looks it adds a kind of sad vibe as well as more of a somber vibe as well to the cover.

do the colors represent the album cover well?

Yes, the pink of this album cover represents the feel of the album. It also describes the overall vibe of the album.

Self Critique

How did your understanding of the album and its context influence your design choices? Discuss the connection between your research, the mood or ideas of the album, and your final design.

My understanding of the album and its context changed my design choices by wanting the abum cover to be more loungy and laid-back. I wanted to give off that vibe throughout the cover. I also wanted to stcik to the time period the album was created by using balck and white photography.

Describe the challenges you faced during the photography and design stages of the project. How did you overcome these challenges and what did you learn from the experience?

The challenges I faced when making this project is sometimes I didn’t have exactly what I needed to complete the project and had to completely do something else. I thought of other ideas that would work by listening to the album more.

Evaluate the effectiveness of your design in representing the mood or ideas of the album. Are there any elements that could be improved upon or that you would change if given more time?

I would say my design is effective at conveying the album’s message and vibe. I wish I could have improved upon the composure and how it looked.

Reflect on the class critique and review of your album cover. What feedback did you receive, and how did it help you improve your design? Were there any suggestions that disagreed with, and why?

I received good feedback on my cover. They helped me by having me stick with the more lougy feel for the cover. No I didn’t really disagree with any suggestions that were handed to me.

Do Photographers View The World Differently?

Yes, I think photographers do see the world differently. We are constantly trying to look at the composition and in this case if things look like or makeup letters of the alphabet. We need to look at the world differently to take pictures people never see so we can show them those pictures.

What I Learned From Designing A Page

I learned from designing a page how to take individual pictures of the item and transfer them to the page. This was challenging because I could not get the lighting right. So I had to take it indoors to get the proper lighting. I also had issues with the background so I learned that I can draw it and it will work.

In this picture, I learned how to blur something and keep the background in focus. I also learned that not all pictures are “keepers”.

In this picture, I learned that simplicity is often the best when taking a picture.
