Shutter Priority Reflection

It was pretty hard, but after messing around with the settings i figured out what worked and what didn’t work. The shutter speed was around 1/50 for most of them. That was what work the most and made the picture come out okay.

Aperture Priority Reflection

I found this assignment to be fairly straightforward, and I actually really like the pictures I took using shallow depth of field and bokeh. I think these concepts are really cool and fun to work with, especially when you understand how to use them to get different effects. I didn’t even realize I got a […]

Shutter Priority Reflection

This assignment was hard for me in terms of memorizing and understanding how shutter speed works. I kept forgetting what speed the shutter needed to be at to make my subject blurry and the background blurry. I especially had a hard time trying to get the freeze-frame photos because I was trying to find the […]

Aperture Priority Reflection – Emily Dean

While working on my Aperture Priority assignment, I found it pretty easy to find inspiration and create feelings when it came to these photos. For example, this is a picture of my dog named Coal. He LOVES attention and can’t go a day without it. So when I took my camera out to take pictures, […]

Aperture Reflection- Jennifer Zamora

With aperture, I learned that you have to get a little closer to whatever you are trying to take a picture of. I also had to stand a little still for it to focus on the specific subject you are trying to take a picture of because sometimes when I was trying to take a […]

Shutter Priority Reflection -Karli Branson

I had a pretty hard experience with the shutter speed project. The easiest part was getting a picture that freezes time because of the fact that all I had to do was turn my camera to a high shutter speed in broad daylight. It was easy to capture the color guard kids waving their flags. […]

Shutter Priority Reflection -Tori Patterson

Barely having lifted our cameras, Millers photog class found ourselves with our first assignment. The first priority on our list is shutter priority. Catching moments frozen in time, along with motion streaking across the frame. We learned to manipulate settings and navigate camera complications. For about a week I wandered campus and main street looking […]
